Graphics integration
Grip 32 v5.0 now uses the Lead Technologies graphics engine, the most-used application graphics engine in the world.   It The File Dialog--with Preview--click to view full sizeprovides powerful functionality for dealing with all kinds of pictures, from JPEGS, to TIFFs, to PCDs etc. It also provides services to acquire images from Twain-compliant scanners to import images directly into Grip.  This means you can operate your scanner from any of the Grip client, invoice, picture or job windows. Or, you can acquire images from files or the clipboard. 

Grip now stores all its internal pictures as JPEGs, meaning they are easy to send around to other people The Picture window--Click to see full sizevia disk or email, and can be opened on any computer regardless of operating system. In the Picture database, Grip now can store two separate pictures for each entry in the database, a Thumbnail (112x112 or 256x256) and a BigPic (256x256 or 512x512). Additionally, you can now store pictures with Grip Jobs, Invoices, & Clients and Contacts. All of these functions allow you to get a picture either from a file, from the clipboard or from your Twain-compliant scanner.   Additionally, you can then copy that picture back to the clipboard, and paste it into some other program.
